January 14th, 2011....1st Blog :)

Hello :) I've never had one of these "blog" things before..but I've had some requests to make one since we are expecting our first baby...people will be able to follow the pregnancy and after the baby comes as well, to watch him/her grow! I don't really know what to say. I guess I can start with our "journey" so far. (May be a little boring to some)

June 11th, 2007, our relationship began. We met through a mutual friend, Lindsie Rogers. We started off as a long distance relationship, but that ended shortly after, when Ethen moved to Casper for school. We both lived in the Casper College dorms for a while, but eventually ended up getting an apartment together, in 2008. Ethen popped the question August of 2009 and in October of 2009, we moved into our first home that we had built in Evansville, WY. This was a huge step in our lives, but it was definitely worth it. We set the wedding date for May 15th, 2010 and it ended up being the best day of our lives. It was the most special, and amazing day ever and we were so thankful for a great turn out. So many family members and friends were able to join us. We couldn't have asked for a better wedding day. We had our honeymoon in Vegas, for 7 days. When we were there, we were able to take a day trip to L.A. and we both went to the beach for the first time. It was a really fun trip!

When we returned, we both got back to the real world. Ethen has been at Wyoming Machinery (the local CAT dealership) working as a Machinist for almost 3 years now..and I have an in-home daycare, which I've been doing for 2 years now. We both are blessed and love ours jobs very much.

In November 2010, we got the biggest (most exciting) news of our lives. We were pregnant! We were both so excited. Shortly after, we shared the news with our families and close friends. Our first doctors appointment was December 2nd. We got to see the little peanut, and it was a blessed moment. It definitely made things more official. At our 2nd appointment, we got to hear the heartbeat, and it was the most precious thing ever. People are always telling you how amazing pregnancy is, and how special it is..but I honestly don't think anyone can describe the feeling you feel when experiencing this for the first time, yourself. I couldn't ask for more!!! I'll end this here, and post some pictures so far...by the way, in a few days I'll be 15 weeks! Yay!

  3. Well, this could be interesting. You sure look cute in your pictures. However, it would be great if the baby looks more like Ethen. Just kidding. You know I can not make a normal comment to you. Excited for you two and to follow this adventure.

  5. Okay, you got me. What is up? A blog is supposed to be updated daily! Tell us what is going on. Belly big? Trouble sleeping? Any bigger pain in the butt? Oops, I said I would be nice on here.
Hope you are doing good. I will be headed to ND tomorrow, so this is how I keep up on my Britts.
